The secondary founding objective of GABM is to serve as a catalyst for its associate members’ philanthropic aspirations by providing a corporate infrastructure through which they can, as a strong associate membership collective, participate in and contribute towards intelligently designed international philanthropic programs. With an uncompromising commitment towards international philanthropic programs, as responsible corporate citizens, GABM and its associate members seek to make significant inroads into the cause of eradicating global poverty.
GABM’s Corporate Activities Funding Business Model
GABM’s unique and sustainable business model allows the organization to seldom request capital grants from its associate members in order to fund its philanthropic corporate activities. Consequently, this means that GABM’s associate members are participating in numerous philanthropic programs, which are funded by a nominal investment(s) as appose to providing equity grants on a regular basis.
The business model entails that GABM establish capital funds on regular intervals in which its associate members can invest capital. When a specific fund is fully subscribed, GABM appoints a firm that is responsible to invest and manage the funds on behalf of GABM and its associate members.
The funds are required to generate bi-annual and/or annual income. In terms of an agreement with its associate members, GABM receives 50 percent of all profits that are generated from the investments made by the applicable fund in question. These proceeds are then utilized to fund GABM’s philanthropic corporate activities. The following funds are operational in the GABM portfolio:
